Capella Hotel Group has opened the 95-key Capella at Galaxy Macau, adding another member to Galaxy Macau’s family of integrated resorts, which includes global brands such as Raffles, The Ritz-Carlton and Banyan Tree.
The property is positioned as a residential-style retreat, combining Parisian interior design, Michelin-starred dining and Capella brand services such as Capella Culturists and Capella Curates, alongside a personal butler service and jungle-inspired design.
Galaxy Macau includes suites and penthouses across 17 floors, designed by Paris-based interior studio Moinard Bétaille, a collaboration between Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille.
“This strategic partnership positions Capella at Galaxy Macau as a distinctive expression of our brand vision: an intimate, residential retreat within an integrated resort context,” said Clive Edwards, SVP, operations, Capella Hotel Group. “Our guests enjoy seamless access to Galaxy’s world-class amenities while experiencing the culturally immersive hospitality that defines Capella—from our Capella Culturists to curated experiences celebrating Macau’s rich heritage.”
The ground-floor lobby features running water, round pools and a three-metre custom LED screen by Hong Kong artist Laura Cheung, founder of LaLa Curio.
The hotel offers one- and two-bedroom suites beginning at 128 square metres, each with a private indoor plunge pool. Four-bedroom penthouses span nearly 700 square metres and include balconies with infinity-edge lap pools, outdoor lounges, private winter gardens, wellness rooms, games rooms, butler pantries and indoor living spaces. Two-bedroom penthouses include a dedicated family room.

Guests are welcomed in the Capella Living Room and guided by Capella Culturists, while personal butlers provide in-suite check-in. Daily Capella Rituals include tea ceremonies, baijiu tastings and cultural introductions. Through Capella Curates, the hotel offers destination experiences, including private helicopter tours and guided visits to Lai Chi Vun and local eateries.
Dining venues include Botanica, led by executive chef Stephen Hsu and seating up to 48 guests, and Pony & Plume, a whisky and cocktail bar offering more than 650 whiskies across eight flavour profiles. Another fine-dining restaurant by chef Vicky Cheng is set to open later in the year.
“Galaxy Macau was created as a destination where the world’s finest hospitality and ultra-luxury experiences come together. We are delighted to reveal Capella at Galaxy Macau to our treasured guests from around the world, which showcases a new expression of our signature and ever-evolving “World Class Asian Heart” service – that is not just personalised but anticipated; promising that true exclusivity is no longer about spectacle – but about scarcity,” said Kevin Kelley, COO, Galaxy Entertainment Group.
