BWH Hotels opens @HOME by Best Western McDonough

BWH Hotels announced the opening of @HOME by Best Western McDonough, a new-construction, five-story, 128-suite extended-stay hotel.

The hotel was developed by Raj Patel and Apsilon Hotels, a hotel ownership and management company overseeing 18 Atlanta-area hotels, including the Best Western Plus Atlanta Airport-East and the Best Western Plus Fairburn-Atlanta Southwest.

“The opening of the first @HOME by Best Western hotel in Georgia and throughout the Southeast marks a significant milestone for the extended-stay brand,” said Raj Patel, chief executive officer of Apsilon Hotels. “Selecting McDonough for this project was a strategic choice driven by the area’s robust economic growth along the I-75 corridor and strong demand from business, logistics and long-term travelers. Designed to deliver a streamlined extended-stay experience, @HOME by Best Western strikes the right balance between the comforts of home and the convenience of hotel living.”

The hotel provides access to regional commerce centers, including more than 80 million square feet of industrial and distribution facilities and Norfolk Southern’s corporate training facility. It is also near Historic Downtown McDonough, Heritage Park and Atlanta Motor Speedway. The property is positioned to serve project-based workers, employee relocations, corporate training programs and other longer-term stay needs.

Each suite includes a kitchen and workspace. Property amenities include community areas, a lobby market, a fitness center, guest laundry facilities and on-property storage closets. The hotel also offers complimentary self-parking with wide-berth spaces for trucks and RVs, EV charging and pet-friendly accommodations.

Brand Growth & Pipeline

The McDonough property is the second @HOME by Best Western location to open in the U.S., following the brand’s debut in St. George, Utah, and a recent opening in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada. A second Atlanta-area property in Fairburn, Ga., also developed by Apsilon Hotels, is slated to open in 2027. BWH Hotels’ global extended-stay pipeline is projected to reach 34 hotels and 2,791 rooms by the end of 2026.

“Extended-stay remains one of the most resilient and attractive segments in hospitality, and @HOME by Best Western is proving to be a powerful growth vehicle for our developers,” said Brad LeBlanc, senior vice president and chief development officer for BWH Hotels. “With a growing global pipeline and strong interest across multiple markets, we’re building a brand that delivers what today’s guests want and what owners need: an efficient operating model, a compelling value proposition and long-term growth potential.”
