WORLDHOTELS ADDS TO ELITE COLLECTION: Caribe Royale Orlando has joined WorldHotels Elite. Located in Orlando, Fla., the hotel recently underwent a $140 million renovation, which added a new, contemporary look to the all-suite resort. The resort offers 1,217 one-bedroom revitalized suites and 120 two-bedroom suites with full kitchens and access to the private villas pool. The property includes an outdoor waterfall pool with a waterslide, a two-story fitness center, spa, new sports court, eight dining venues and 240,000 square feet of events space (including a 50,000-square-foot ballroom and a new 19,000-square-foot event lawn). Founded by independent hoteliers, WorldHotels is a soft brand under BWH Hotels and consists of four collections — Luxury, Elite, Crafted and Distinctive.

ZEL TO OPEN SECOND HOTEL: Zel, the hotel brand developed by Meliá Hotels International and Rafael Nadal, is growing its portfolio and will be opening its second location this summer. The former Pola Giverola Resort, owned by Azora, will reopen as Zel Costa Brava. The hotel is located in Costa Brava, between Cala Pola and Cala Giverola, and sits on 35 hectares of land. Featuring 214 rooms, the resort is currently undergoing renovations, which includes transformations to the entrance. The resort will offer a restaurant, along with refurbished leisure, sports and wellness facilities. This will be followed by new hotels in Madrid, Sayulita in Mexico and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in 2025. Zel opened its first hotel in Mallorca in 2023.
MARRIOTT ADDS IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Marriott Hotels has opened Santo Domingo Marriott Hotel Piantini, marking the flagship brand’s first property in the city. Situated in the financial and entertainment center of Santo Domingo, the hotel is near high-end retail stores and popular destinations. The hotel features 207 rooms and suites with city skyline views. Amenities include an all-day dining restaurant with an indoor space, a lobby bar, an executive club lounge for Marriott Bonvoy members, a rooftop pool, fitness center and 10,000 square feet of meeting space and five breakout rooms. Marriott Hotels currently has around 600 properties in more than 65 countries.
CORALTREE TO MANAGE TAMARACK RESORT: CoralTree Hospitality will manage hospitality operations at Tamarack Resort in Idaho, including the restaurants, bars and residential resort rentals in The Village at Tamarack. CoralTree will also manage lodging, spa and golf operations at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows and marina operations on Lake Cascade. Located at the base of Tamarack Resort, The Village comprises six buildings with 47,000 square feet of commercial space for guest services, resort operations, retail, restaurant and bars on the plaza level and lodging and luxury residences on the upper floors. CoralTree will be managing over 120 ski-in ski-out residences, along with five restaurants across at The Village. CoralTree will manage the Robert Trent Jones Jr. II-designed Osprey Meadows Golf Course, which will open this July.
WALDORF ASTORIA RESIDENCES IN DUBAI: Hilton has partnered with NABNI Developments to unveil plans for Waldorf Astoria Residences Dubai Downtown, anticipated to open in 2028. This will be the first standalone Waldorf Astoria residences beyond the U.S. Situated on a 1.5-acre plot in downtown Dubai, the residences will be designed by Carlos Ott Architects, with interiors led by Hirsch Bedner Associates. The residences will be located close to popular destinations and luxury shopping and dining destinations.
