THE LUXURY COLLECTION SIGNS IN TURKS & CAICOS: The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, has signed Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Turks & Caicos. This is the brand’s first hotel in the destination. Located in South Caicos, the new resort is expected to open in early 2025. Spanning more than a mile of natural beach adjoining a national park, the resort will feature 100 rooms and suites, a spa with eight treatment rooms and two couple’s treatment rooms, a hot tub, pool, six dining options and water sports. As part of Salterra’s sustainability goals, more than half of the property’s energy needs will be derived from solar power, and the guestrooms will have filtered water dispensers to eliminate the use of single-use plastic bottles. Guests can also participate in coral reef restoration through educational activities. At present, The Luxury Collection’s portfolio comprises more than 115 hotels and resorts across 35 countries.
