TEMPO BY HILTON TO OPEN IN NASHVILLE: New Orleans-based HRI Hospitality has announced that Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, its new hotel project, will open in spring 2024. The 16-story, 306-room hotel is next to Nashville Yards. Last week, a topping-out ceremony was held at the hotel’s construction site. The hotel’s design-builder is BELL Construction, the architect is ESa and the interior designer is Wimberly Design. When finished, the hotel will have several dining options, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a 1,000-square-foot fitness center, a pool and bar and a lobby and lounge on the fifth floor.
IHG ADDS 9 NEW HOTELS IN U.K., IRELAND: IHG Hotels & Resorts has added nine new hotels in the U.K. and Ireland, the group’s home market and largest market in Europe. The properties span five of IHG’s brands across its four collections — Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, Hotel Indigo; Premium Collection brand, voco hotels; Essentials Collection brands Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express; and Suites Collection brand, Staybridge Suites. The new hotels are Hotel Indigo Exeter (open,104 rooms); Hotel Indigo London – K West Shepherd’s Bush (to open in 2026 with 255 rooms); voco Lythe Hill Hotel (to open this spring, 60 rooms); the 73-key Holiday Inn Manchester Oldham (open); 120-toom Holiday Inn Sunderland (open); 280-room Holiday Inn Manchester Airport; Holiday Inn Express Fleet (76-key); Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax (to open in 2026, 106-rooms); and the 101-room Staybridge Suites Brighton (open). IHG has opened 348 properties and has 18 more in the pipeline across the U.K.
REMINGTON ADDS TO PORTFOLIO: Remington Hotels has assumed management of La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lakeway. Located in Lakeway City, Texas, the hotel’s sales marketing, operations, revenue management and overall guest satisfaction results will be handled by Remington. This marks Remington’s fifth hotel in the Austin area. The 104-key hotel includes a gym, pool and 763 square feet of event space that can accommodate up to 75 conference guests. Remington currently manages 118 hotels in 27 states and Washington, D.C., throughout 24 brands, including 18 independent and boutique properties.
AIMBRIDGE EMEA SIGNS IN THE NETHERLANDS: Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has signed a management agreement with Borealis Hotel Group (BHG) to operate the new Holiday Inn Eindhoven Airport hotel in the Netherlands. This is BHG’s 25th hotel and the latest addition to Aimbridge’s portfolio. The hotel marks Aimbridge’s sixth managed property in the Netherlands in its over 10-year relationship with BHG. The 180-room hotel includes an all-day restaurant, bar, gym and 75 square meters of meeting space across three rooms. Earlier known as Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Aimbridge EMEA is part of the hotel management company Aimbridge Hospitality. The group has a portfolio of over 1,500 hotels globally.
IHCL ADDS IN MUMBAI: Indian Hotels Co. Ltd. has signed a hotel in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Maharashtra. Expected to open by 2025, the Vivanta-branded hotel will be located in the Thane region. The 122-key hotel will be part of a mixed-use development spanning 14 acres. The hotel will feature an all-day diner, pool, fitness center and banqueting space, including a 400 square meter hall and meeting areas. With this hotel, IHCL will have 31 hotels in Maharashtra and 10 under development.
