Briefs: Singer Oceanfront Resort rebrands; HEI expands in Atlanta

SINGER OCEANFRONT RESORT REBRANDS: The Singer Oceanfront Resort in Singer Island, Fla. will open this spring following a multi-million-dollar rebrand and renovation. The retreat will transition to Curio Collection by Hilton and operated by Davidson Resorts. The hotel features 223 rooms and suites, all with private balconies. Earlier known as Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront/Palm Beaches Resort, the property has undergone extensive renovations, which includes revitalized rooms, lobby, common areas, pool deck, dining venues and meeting and social areas. The retreat has also opened two new dining concepts, along with a gourmet grab-and-go station.

HEI EXPANDS ATLANTA PRESENCE: HEI Hotels & Resorts has added the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Roswell and DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta – Alpharetta to its management portfolio. This brings the company’s total number of managed hotels in the metropolitan Atlanta market to 14. Located off Turner McDonald Parkway, the 174-key DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Roswell has an outdoor pool, a fitness center, lobby bar and lounge and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Located a located a mile from US-19, the 80-room DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Alpharetta features an outdoor pool, a fitness center, restaurant, lobby bar and 748 square feet of meeting space. Both the hotels recently underwent multi-million-dollar renovations.

FINANCING FOR DORADO RITZ-CARLTON RESERVE: Braemar Hotels & Resorts Inc. has closed on a property-level mortgage financing for the 96-key Ritz-Carlton Reserve Dorado Beach in Dorado, Puerto Rico. The $62 million non-recourse loan with a two-year term is interest only and provides for a floating interest rate of SOFR +4.75%.

SPRINGHILL SUITES TAMPA SELLS: Berkadia has announced the sale of the SpringHill Suites Tampa Brandon in Tampa, Fla. A joint venture between Florida-based Sonari Capital Partners and Ark Development acquired the 103-room hotel from Florida-based Impact Properties. The acquisition price was not disclosed. The new buyers plan to undertake a comprehensive renovation of the hotel. Built in 2008, the hotel offers suites with kitchenettes, complimentary breakfast and a fitness center.
