Briefs: Siegel Group acquires Sunstyle Suites Inn; Hotel Per La joins Autograph Collection

SIEGEL GROUP ACQUIRES SUNSTYLE SUITES INN: The Siegel Group, the Las Vegas-based real estate investment and management company, has acquired the former Sunstyle Suites Inn in Orlando, Fla. for $10.33 million. The hotel was closed in a quick, 30-day off-market transaction. Also included in the deal was a vacant plot and totaling a third of an acre, which Siegel Group intends to sell or develop. The acquisition has increased the portfolio of Siegel Select and Siegel Suites in the U.S. to 62 and is the second location the brand has added to the Florida market within the past six months. Built in 2000, the hotel spans 2.41 acres and consists of a three-story exterior corridor property. The hotel has 191 rooms with kitchenettes. The Siegel Group will renovate and enhance the hotel, including updating the flooring, cabinetry and countertops, along with installing new furniture and appliance packages in all rooms. The building’s exterior will be painted and other aspects of the property will get cosmetic upgrades, including a Siegel Select brand signage.

The building has been reimagined by HN Capital Partners and Sage Hospitality Group and currently offers 241 rooms and suites along with a restaurant and bar, café, rooftop bar and 10,000 square feet of event space. Much of the 12-story hotel’s signature architectural features have been retained and the building’s Doric columns, golden and blue ceiling and marble floors have been preserved. The interiors have been reimagined by Los Angeles-based interior designer, Jaqui Seerman. The hotel features more than 4,000 art pieces that celebrate the building’s Californian, Italian and Mediterranean heritage.
