Briefs: NEW DOUBLETREE BY HILTON IN JAPAN, ALEPH HOSPITALITY EXPANDS IN AFRICA

HILTON ANNOUNCES DOUBLETREE BY HILTON TOYAMA IN JAPAN’S HOKURIKU REGION: The 13-story, 201-room hotel offers contemporary guest accommodations with five room types ranging from 26-square-meter layouts for up to three people to a 79-square-meter premium suite for up to four people. Toyama Station and Toyama Kitokito Airport can be reached comfortably by foot in three minutes from the DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama. The hotel’s interior design and artwork are inspired by Toyama’s natural beauty.  

ALEPH HOSPITALITY EXPANDS IN AFRICA WITH A NEW UPSCALE HOTEL IN GHANA: Aleph Hospitality, a Dubai-based independent hotel management company, has signed an agreement to operate The Pelican Hotel in Accra, marking the Group’s first foray into Ghana. The all-suite boutique hotel will open in Cantonments, an affluent Accra suburb with numerous embassies, shopping malls and dining and leisure options in June 2023. The upscale property, a 10-minute drive from Kotoka International Airport, has 134 suites and apartments, a cafe, a specialty restaurant, a swimming pool, a gym, a spa, and meeting room facilities. 

ANANTARA HOTELS, RESORTS & SPAS MAKES A DEBUT IN FRANCE WITH THE ANANTARA PLAZA NICE HOTEL: The remarkable 175-year-old building Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel reopens, after two years of renovations, with 151 rooms, including 38 suites (many with sea-facing terraces and balconies), as well as a new Anantara Spa, a seminar space with six meeting rooms and a ballroom, and a stylish rooftop restaurant and bar with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Baie des Anges and Old Nice. The hotel is centrally located at the entrance to Nice’s Golden Square and overlooks Le Jardin Albert 1er and the glittering Promenade des Anglais, the city’s most famous stretch of seafront.
