MINOR HOTELS LAUNCHES NH BRANDS IN SRI LANKA: Minor Hotels has added to its Sri Lankan portfolio and introduced its upper-upscale NH Collection Hotels & Resorts and upscale NH Hotels & Resorts brands in the country. Minor will manage the two hotels, as part of its agreement with the owner, Softlogic Holdings. Located in the capital city, NH Collection Colombo Hotel opened on June 1 and is situated close to popular attractions. The luxury, 219-room hotel offers six dining options, a gym, rooftop infinity pool, spa and event spaces which can accommodate up to 200 attendees. NH Bentota Ceysands Resort is located between Bentota River and the Indian Ocean and features 166 rooms. Slated to open on July 1, the hotel includes a swimming pool with ocean views, a water sports center, spa, kid’s club and five dining venues. Currently, Minor has three properties across Sri Lanka and more than 90 NH Collection and 230 NH Hotels & Resorts globally. These additions are part of Minor’s global expansion strategy of launching NH Collection and NH brands into newer markets in the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Asia and Australia.
HEI ADDS TAPESTRY COLLECTION IN ATLANTA: HEI Hotels & Resorts has added The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton to its portfolio. With this addition, HEI’s portfolio in the metropolitan Atlanta market totals 15 properties. Located in downtown Fairlie District and close to popular attractions, the 315-room hotel includes an outdoor pool, a restaurant and bar, fitness center and more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space. The RADCO Companies hotel recently underwent a transformative renovation and rebranding to the Tapestry Collection brand.
PENDRY HOTEL, RESIDENCES IN MEXICO CITY: Pendry Hotels & Resorts has announced Pendry Mexico City and Pendry Residences Mexico City, scheduled to open in 2026. A joint venture between Grupo TGT, Grupo MRP and Central de Arquitectura, Pendry Mexico City broke ground earlier this year and is located in the Roma Norte District. The property has been designed in partnership with local architects, Central de Arquitectura and IZ Arquitectos, with AVROKO designing the interiors. Pendry Mexico City will have 114 rooms and suites, along with 20 residences. The hotel will also offer several dining options, a rooftop pool and sundeck, fitness center and event spaces. Pendry Residences Mexico City will feature fully-serviced 20 residences, ranging from one- to three-bedroom units. Home owners can access all the amenities and services of the hotel, as well as resident-only experiences. Home owners can also avail services of a dedicated residential staff. Luxury turn-key ownership includes property management, an optional Pendry rental program and customized services.
NEW HOTEL NEAR UTAH’S ZION PARK: Garn Development, the Utah-based commercial real estate development company, has opened The Lodge at Zion Country. The hotel is a member of Marriott Bonvoy. Located in Zion Canyon, close to the Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah, the 132-key boutique hotel is managed by San Diego-based Azul Hospitality Group. Situated close to the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area and the Dixie National Forest, the hotel offers 132 rooms, with a signature restaurant set to open soon.
