THE OTIS IS RENAMED: White Lodging has renamed its new Autograph Collection hotel in San Antonio, Texas, earlier known as The Otis Hotel. Renamed as Plaza San Antonio Hotel & Spa, Autograph Collection, the 253-room hotel is scheduled to open this summer. The new name is a nod to the hotel’s past. The hotel has had “plaza” in its name since it initially opened in 1979 as the Plaza Nacional. The hotel includes three suites, along with the repurposed historic buildings which will house a spa and bungalow suites. A 42-foot-tall Anaqua tree, which was once listed in the American Forestry Associations’ National Register of Big Trees, is integrated into the property. This will be the first Autograph Collection-branded hotel in San Antonio.

THE JUNTO TO OPEN IN MAY: Rockbridge and Makeready have announced that The Junto, the independent lifestyle hotel in Columbus, Ohio, will open in May and has started accepting reservations already. The hotel features 198 rooms and suites overlooking the redeveloped Scioto River, multiple restaurants, a rooftop bar, fitness services and 13,000 square feet of meeting space.

Sage’s portfolio currently includes more than 110 hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues across 14 states.
