Briefs: LXR Hotels & Resorts to South East Asia; Palisociety opens in Tampa

HILTON’S LXR HOTELS & RESORTS LAUNCHES IN SOUTH EAST ASIA: Hilton has announced the opening of Umana Bali, LXR Hotels & Resorts in Bali, Indonesia. This marks the debut of the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in Southeast Asia, following the launch of the brand in Asia with an opening in Kyoto. Owned by PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk and managed by Hilton, Umana Bali is located on the island’s southernmost part at Ungasan. The property has 72 luxury villas and spreads across cascading terraces atop limestone cliffs. Each villa includes a private infinity-edge pool and outdoor hot tub. The property’s architecture, landscape architecture and interiors have been designed by WATG | Wimberly Interiors. The hotel includes a spa offering a selection of treatments and activities and multiple dining venues.

PALISOCIETY OPENS IN TAMPA: Avi Brosh’s Palisociety has opened Palihouse Hyde Park Village, marking the brand’s venture into Tampa, Fla. The hotel also marks the brand’s fifth opening this year. Located in the Hyde Park area, the hotel offers 36 rooms, a lobby bar, a lobby lounge on the second floor and a café and bar. This is Palisociety’s 19th property, alongside 12 Palisociety, two Le Petit Pali and four ARRIVE by Palisociety destinations. 

BAYSIDE RESORT HOTEL SELLS: Bayside Resort Hotel in Cape Cod in West Yarmouth, Mass., has changed hands. JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has announced it has arranged the sale of the 128-room hotel. JLL represented the seller in the transaction to Bayside Yarmouth LLC. Jamsan Hotel Management will manage the hotel. Spread across 3.95 acres, the hotel has indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and more than 2,300 square feet of event space.

PPHE GETS GREEN LIGHT FOR NEW LONDON HOTEL: PPHE Hotel Group, the global hospitality real estate group, has received the planning consent from Westminster City Council to develop a new hotel in the Park Plaza Victoria London property. PPHE will transform 6,500 square meters of mainly subterranean space into a new 179-room hotel with a separate entrance. The existing 299-room Park Plaza Victoria London hotel will continue to operate as a standalone property. Once completed, PPHE will operate a dual-branded hotel comprising the upper upscale Park Plaza Victoria London and a midscale lifestyle property. The brand of the new hotel has not been disclosed yet. Considering that the existing structure will be utilized and no new land will have to be purchased, PPHE plans to considerably increase the asset valuation and yield upon completion.

ARTYZEN HOSPITALITY OPENS IN SINGAPORE: Artyzen Hospitality Group, a subsidiary of Shun Tak Holdings, has grown its presence beyond Greater China with the opening of its flagship hotel, Artyzen Singapore. This marks the group’s first property in Southeast Asia. The 142-room luxury hotel is located on a 25,471-square-foot site, which earlier housed the two-story home of rubber tycoon Tan Hoon Siang. The building’s former elements have been retained in the hotel, with Ong&Ong architects and Nic Graham & Associates blending them with the hotel’s modern design. The hotel has grand terrace rooms with shared garden terraces and terrace suites with private garden terraces. The hotel is a seven-year project by Shun Tak to integrate luxury lifestyle elements into the Artyzen brand.
