Briefs: Hotel Trouvail inducted into Historic Hotels of America; The Madeline secures $30M refinancing

Hotel Trouvail inducted into Historic Hotels of America: Hotel Trouvail Miami Beach in Miami Beach has been inducted into Historic Hotels of America, the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s official program. The French-style hotel was constructed in 1940. The hotel was known as The Greenbrier and was located in the Collins Waterfront Historic District. It was converted into a condominium building with 41 units in the 1990s and reopened in 2019 as the Palihouse Miami Beach. The hotel was reopened as the independent Hotel Trouvail late last year. Historic Hotels of America has recognized the hotel as one of more than 300 properties in the United States for preserving and maintaining historic architecture, ambiance, and integrity.

The Madeline secures $30M refinancing: The Madeline Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection has secured a five-year, floating rate loan worth $30 million through Värde Partners. The 83-key luxury resort has 56 separately owned condominiums and is located in Telluride, Colo. JLL represented the borrower, Flynn Properties Inc., for the refinancing. Built-in 2009, the property underwent renovations in 2020 and 2021 and is the only Forbes Five-Star resort in Telluride. The hotel has a spa, a fitness center, a retail plaza, a pool, several dining options, and a bar. The property also provides direct ski-in/ski-out access to the Telluride Ski Resort’s 147 trails. 

Mandarin Oriental adds in Spain: The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage a new beach resort in Mallorca, Spain, set to open in the second half of 2024. Blasson Property Investments of Spain built the new luxury resort as a reconstruction and redesign of the previous H10 Punta Negra hotel. When the renovations are finished, the hotel will be renamed Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca. The hotel will have 131 rooms, 44 suites, nine bungalows, several restaurants, a spa with an indoor pool, three outdoor pools, a kids club and water sports. The resort’s design is overseen by HKS, Estudio Lamela, and Laura Gonzalez, with Laura Gonzalez in charge of the interior design.

Cleveland Hampton Inn sells: Spark GHC, a private real estate joint venture between Spark Hotels and Green Harvest Capital, has acquired the Hampton Inn by Hilton – Downtown Cleveland. The purchase gives Spark a strong footprint in the Downtown market. This is the company’s 11th acquisition since 2018 and raises combined Spark GHC properties under management to above $100 million.  

onefinestay offers monthly rentals in NYC: onefinestay, the private rental brand, has launched monthly stays in New York with 16 homes available to book currently. The one- to six-bedroom residences offer fully furnished leases with all utilities included, along with a dedicated concierge service. The homes are intended for stays of 30 nights or more, with the option to extend stays and rent them daily after the initial 30-night booking.
