Disruption, in its many permutations, remained the buzzword of the year for hospitality. Throughout 2017, disruption ruled the headlines, ranging from a Trump administration travel ban to the ongoing battle between a hotel association and  a home-sharing upstart, hoteliers pushing direct bookings and, unfortunately, the impact of terrorism.
