LIBREVILLE, GABON Amanresorts will open its second property in Africa, a 20-villa resort in the nation of Gabon, to be followed by two more resorts there.
Amanresorts Chairman Adrian Zecha toured four potential sites in Gabon with government and national tourism officials, ultimately settling on Le Phare de Gombe Beach for the first luxury project, set to open next January. Future Amanresorts are slated for Kangou Water Falls and Hippo Beach. Further details about the projects will be announced at a later date.
Singapore-based Amanresorts International Pte. Ltd. has one other property in Africa: the 39-unit Amanjena in Marrakech.
