Aimbridge Hospitality takes over Midwest three-pack

Aimbridge Hospitality has assumed management of three historic boutique hotels owned by Gorman & Company, a Wisconsin-based developer known for adaptive reuse of historically significant buildings and revitalization of communities across the Midwest.

The three properties, The Brewhouse Inn & Suites in Milwaukee, Wis., The Stella Hotel & Ballroom in Kenosha, Wis. and Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront in Rockford, Ill., mark a significant step for Gorman as the developer transitions to third-party hotel management for the first time.

“Our hotels have always been about more than hospitality. They’re about the people who bring them to life every day and the surrounding communities,” said Laura Narduzzi, vice president of hotel operations for Gorman & Company. “We chose Aimbridge because we saw in them the same commitment to people and purpose that has guided Gorman for over 40 years. We’re confident our team members will thrive, our guests will continue to experience something genuinely special, and our historic buildings will be well-maintained.”

Hotel team members across the three properties have transitioned into Aimbridge’s ecosystem, preserving continuity and long employee tenure at each property. Aimbridge’s culinary and lifestyle expertise also made it steward of the existing F&B programs Gorman developed in partnership with Aimbridge’s Taste & Theory.

“Gorman has invested deeply in these communities and it shows in every detail throughout the historic properties. We are honored to be selected as their operating partner,” said Eric Jacobs, chief global growth officer of Aimbridge Hospitality. “We look forward to delivering the operational excellence and performance that carries them into their next chapter.”

The Brewhouse Inn & Suites occupies the former Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery, a German Renaissance Revival landmark dating to 1877, and offers 90 suites. The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is an 80-room property restored from the 1917 Kenosha Elks Club building. Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront is a 160-room property that opened in 2020 within the former Ziock Building through an $87.5 million public-private partnership, and includes two onsite restaurants and more than 21,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
