ADA Cosmetics has been awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis for the second consecutive year with a score of 80 out of 100, a +2 improvement from 2024.
The award reinforces ADA Cosmetics’ commitment to helping hotels achieve their own sustainability targets. Since Scope 3 emissions—those generated within a company’s supply chain—represent the largest share of most hotels’ carbon footprints, partnering with suppliers that embed sustainability and social responsibility into their operations is one of the most effective ways for the hospitality industry to accelerate its environmental progress.
EcoVadis provides business sustainability ratings to over 130,000 companies across more than 180 industries globally. Its assessment covers four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The EcoVadis Gold Medal is awarded to companies that rank among the top 5 percent of all rated organizations, recognizing their advanced sustainability performance and continuous improvement in responsible business practices.
The award highlights ADA Cosmetics’ sustainability management system, which promises concrete, measurable actions in aid of people and planet. These include:
- Four-pillar ethical trade (SMETA) audits at all three production sites in 2024 with no non-compliances open.
- A commitment to go beyond the legally required minimum wage and ensure that all employees worldwide are paid a living wage by the end of 2030.
- An energy audit at the company’s production and logistics site in Germany to further increase energy efficiency and drive energy transformation.
- Reporting of the company’s Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions to the CDP.
- The definition of science-based targets for all emissions, including Scope 3, in line with ADA Cosmetics’ long-term climate strategy.
By working with an EcoVadis-rated supplier like ADA Cosmetics, hotels gain verifiable assurance that their amenities are produced according to strict environmental, ethical and social standards. This, in turn, strengthens hotels’ sustainability reporting and facilitates alignment with global certifications such as Green Key, EarthCheck or ISO 14001, as well as enhancing their credibility with eco-conscious travelers.
