Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of hospitality group Accor, in partnership with J-Will Partners Co., Ltd., has announced the development of Fairmont Niseko, Japan. The 165-key property is slated to open in early 2028.
The resort is set within nine acres of forest land between Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri and will offer views of Mount Yotei. Daiken Sekkei, Inc. is the architect and Steve Leung Design Group Limited is the main interior designer. The property will provide access to skiing and golf as well as dining options in nearby Niseko Village and Hirafu.

An extension of the Hokkaido Shinkansen high-speed train, scheduled for completion in 2038, will connect Kutchan Station to Sapporo Station in 25 minutes. An increase in international flights at New Chitose Airport is also expected to support tourism demand.
Upon completion, the hotel will include two restaurants, a spa and wellness offering, a kids’ club and Onsen experiences.
