Accor and Yavu Collective, a Fiji-registered investment and development group owned by BSP Life and Fiji Airways, have signed an agreement to bring three hotel brands, Sofitel, The Sebel and TRIBE, into Accor’s global network in Fiji.
The deal expands a partnership that began with the 2005 opening of Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa and adds two brands that have no prior presence in Fiji.
The anchor property, Sofitel Fiji Vatu Talei, is set to open in early 2027 on Denarau Island. The resort will span 10 acres and offer 176 rooms, multiple dining venues and amenity features including lagoons, a lazy river and a rooftop infinity pool.
The Sebel Nuku Loaloa Living will debut in August 2026 in Wailoaloa, Nadi, offering 76 self-contained apartments and villas across one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations. TRIBE Na Tomba, the brand’s first Fijian property, will open in late 2026 on Denarau Island with 118 rooms and a range of communal spaces and dining venues.

“This partnership with Yavu Collective represents a defining moment for Accor in the Pacific,” said Adrian Williams, chief operating officer of Accor in the Pacific. “Fiji continues to go from strength to strength as one of the Pacific region’s most sought-after destinations, particularly for Australian and New Zealand travelers, drawn by its natural beauty, rich culture and warm hospitality. Bringing these brands into one destination through a single, trusted partner reflects both the strength of our relationship and our shared vision for Fiji’s future as a globally recognized, experience-led tourism destination. Each brand has been carefully selected to play a distinct role, from Sofitel as a culturally immersive luxury anchor to TRIBE with its unstoppable social vibe, and The Sebel as a sophisticated, stylish place for longer stays.”
“Our journey with Accor spans two decades, and this next phase reflects our shared belief in creating destinations that are both globally relevant and deeply rooted in Fiji,” said Vincent Macquet, chief executive officer of Yavu Collective. “As a locally owned company, we are committed to developing hospitality experiences that celebrate culture, support communities, and contribute to the country’s long-term prosperity. Together with Accor, we are proud to bring these projects to life and to continue shaping the future of tourism in Fiji.”
“The Pacific is a strategic market for Sofitel, representing almost 50% of our most loyal guests globally,” said David Fraser, vice president operations of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, Accor Pacific. “Our commitment here is strong, underscored by renovations at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, planned refurbishments for Sofitel Queenstown and Sofitel Broadbeach, and the continued evolution in Fiji with Sofitel Vatu Talei. Sofitel Vatu Talei, conceived to reflect Sofitel elegance and rich Fijian culture, is a highly considered addition, perfectly aligning with our vision for luxury resort experiences in key destinations.”
By 2027, Yavu Collective is projected to operate five resorts across Viti Levu, employing more than 1,300 people locally.
