Accor expands in Australia with Sebel Parramatta opening

Accor is set to open The Sebel Sydney Parramatta in August 2026, bringing a residential-style extended-stay hotel to one of Sydney’s fastest-growing economic and cultural centers. Developed by Nirskam Group and managed by Accor, the new-build property will be located on Victoria Road, Parramatta.

The hotel will feature 51 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites designed for both short and longer stays. Amenities will include an all-day dining restaurant focused on Italian cuisine, a rooftop bar and terrace, in-room dining, a 24-hour fitness center, communal work and relaxation spaces, on-site parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, in-room casting technology and self-check-in kiosks. A small meeting room adjoining the rooftop terrace will accommodate four to six guests, with the option to hire the indoor space and terrace together.

Valued at approximately AUD 28.86 billion, Parramatta’s local economy ranks as the second-largest in New South Wales. The city currently supports around 178,000 jobs and its population is projected to exceed 500,000 by 2050. Major developments, including Parramatta Square, the Powerhouse Parramatta museum project, the redevelopment of Riverside Theatres and the forthcoming Western Sydney International Airport, are driving the city’s growth as a business, culture and events destination.

“The Sebel Sydney Parramatta will offer a really attractive extended-stay experience in a destination that is entering an exciting new chapter,” said Adrian Williams, chief operating officer of Accor in the Pacific region. “Parramatta is evolving rapidly as a center for business, culture and visitation, and this hotel is well-placed to meet growing demand for high-quality accommodation that offers the comforts of home.”

“We are excited to be preparing to welcome guests to The Sebel Sydney Parramatta and introduce a new boutique extended-stay experience to this fast-growing market,” said Michael Rignall, General Manager at The Sebel Sydney Parramatta. “The hotel has been thoughtfully designed to deliver the space, comfort and flexibility today’s travelers are seeking, while also creating a stay experience that feels genuinely connected to the energy and character of Parramatta.”

Located within walking distance of CommBank Stadium, Parramatta CBD and key dining precincts, the property will offer access to Sydney CBD and Greater Western Sydney’s major business hubs. The opening will bring Accor’s Western Sydney network to 22 hotels.
