Marriott International on Friday announced the signing of its first AC Hotel by Marriott in Paris, the 166-room AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot. The hotel will be operated under a franchise agreement with SHEPI SNC.
The AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will represent Marriott International’s 14th hotel in the capital city and its third AC Hotel by Marriott in France.
“We have been actively seeking opportunities to expand into France where we see the brand’s urban lifestyle feel fitting perfectly,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director for Marriott International in Europe. “Paris is a robust market where we see continued development opportunity for this brand.”
The AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot will be located to the west of central Paris in the well-known district of Porte Maillot, overlooking the Boulevard Périphérique.
Spanish hotel group AC Hotels and Marriott International launched the AC Hotels by Marriott brand via joint venture in January 2011, which saw 90 hotels in Spain, Italy and Portugal rebranded.
