The Wingate by Wyndham hotel brand, part of Wyndham Hotel Group, on Thursday unveiled a refreshed new-construction prototype concept that evolves the guest experience while lowering development costs and capturing greater efficiencies.
The updated design for the new-construction brand creates an open lobby and lounge space that allows guests to stay connected in a more contemporary and social setting. The design’s footprint is approximately 10% less than the brand’s previous prototype.

The open lobby includes furniture in natural tones, as well as a slotted ceiling that lets in natural light. Integrated technology includes multiple connectivity areas, four large flat-screen televisions and free high-speed wireless Internet access.
The communal breakfast area transforms to a bar, event space or additional seating throughout the day.
The new prototype is designed with 99 guest rooms over four floors. Accommodations have received a facelift with higher ceilings and a redesigned, larger bathroom that includes modern finishes, a walk-in shower and illuminated vanity mirror.

The building’s exterior now features cleaner lines and a more contemporary porte-cochère. The building has also been designed to be LEED-certifiable and includes LED lighting, low-flow fixtures and optional outdoor parking areas specifically for car-charging stations.
Additional features include an on-site market offering convenience items, meeting and boardrooms with interactive screens and a fully equipped fitness center. Hotel owners have the option of adding an outdoor pool and associated public space.
Bill Hall, brand senior vice president of Wingate by Wyndham, said existing Wingate by Wyndham properties will be able to implement the overall look and feel of the new design through similar color palettes, furniture offerings and other design elements.
