Sands Cotai Central’s parent-company, Sands China Ltd., a majority-held subsidiary of global integrated resort developer Las Vegas Sands Corp., has opened the Earth Tower at Sheraton Macao Hotel at Sands Cotai Central, adding 2,067 rooms.
The property now has a total of 3,896 guestrooms, including 273 suites, making it the largest property in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s portfolio.
The Earth Tower follows the same design scheme as the Sky Tower.
In addition to the new guest accommodations, Sheraton Macao, Cotai Central has two new pools. The adults-only Tiki Pool is located on the hotel’s eighth floor, overlooking the Cotai Strip. The Jaya pool is located on the hotel’s fourth floor and offers a whirlpool. All three of the hotel’s pools have private cabanas with ceiling fans and day beds. The three recreation decks can accommodate up to 1,500 guests for poolside events.
A dedicated Starwood Preferred Guest check-in area is also open in the hotel’s lobby. The construction project also completed more than 150,000 sq ft (13,935 sq m) of meeting space. Sheraton Macao, Cotai Central offers 113 individual meeting spaces, including a grand ballroom that can seat up to 4,000 guests for a banquet.
