
A new guest accommodation has checked in at the Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris: the Royal Suite.
The 4,844 sq ft (450 sq m) suite has four bedrooms for a maximum of eight guests in king or twin beds.
The fifth-floor suite offers two main entrances, a reception hall, two master bedrooms (each with private dressing room), two additional bedrooms overlooking a courtyard, a spacious living room, a dining room that can seat 12, a study, two full marble bathrooms with steam shower and whirlpool, a kitchen, and balconies overlooking Avenue Montaigne with views of the Eiffel Tower.
Although it is furnished with antiques and embroidered textiles, the suite includes modern technology, including a full 3D HD system in the living room. Each bedroom has a plasma TV; one master bedroom has a rotating screen, while the other has a glass video projection screen that is visible from the front and from the back.
The Royal Suite also takes security into consideration. Both main entrances have a security space with digital fingerprint entry. The entries, roof, and balconies are under video surveillance. The suite has four electronic safes, secure double-glazed windows, and a room for personal staff. In addition, private security services and a room for security personnel are available on request.
Pricing for the Royal Suite starts at €20,000 (US$25,238).
