JRK Hotel Group has reopened Oceana Beach Club Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif., after a renovation of the hotel’s public areas.
Designer Anthony Baratta gave the property the feel of a 1960s beach club, with a palette of sea foam greens, pale blues and white. The 70-key resort has a new lobby, reception area, and pool deck.
In addition, Oceana Beach Club Hotel has debuted Tower 8 restaurant, from chef Josiah Citrin of Mélisse Restaurant. The restaurant space features natural materials, earthy colors, and retro design elements. Citrin serves seasonal dishes with produce from the Santa Monica Farmer’s Market. The team also includes mixologist Pablo Moix and sommelier Brian Kalliel.
Oceana Beach Club also recently named Christoph Moje to the post of general manager.
