What’s Hot: New fitness experience in Chicago

The Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile last month unveiled the completion of its fitness center’s multimillion-dollar renovation. Aimed to meet “growing demands of the health-conscious traveler,” the new space expanded from 2,200 square feet (670.56 square meters) to 9,000 square feet (2,743.2 square meters).

The fitness center’s open studio, or “Fitness Lab,” features technology that allows guests to choose from 1,200 digital fitness classes via Fitness On Demand. Classes include cycling, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, step, boot camp and hip-hop dance. The studio also offers kids’ classes.

Premier Life Fitness cardio equipment includes treadmills, elliptical and stair machines, upright and recumbent bikes and aqua rowers, while strength equipment includes a Synergy 360 station with box jump and adjustable pulley system, stability balls, TRX station, chest press machine, shoulder press machine and leg extension machine.
