Today’s coolest kids are looking for suite spaces that marry aesthetic indulgence with homey touches. Exquisite details sit side by side with inviting texture. So, for the two new suites at The Langham, Hong Kong, the team at G A Design wove form and function together in the narrative for two distinct spaces.
The penthouse suite uses pleated fabrics and crystal chandeliers to evoke Europe’s fashion houses. Delicate designs inform upholstery and carpeting. Creamy tones get a punch from deeper accents.
The director suite, on the other hand, uses a higher-impact palette of black and white shades. Crisp lines dominate while nickel, lucite and glass up the visual ante. A working desk and director’s chair complete the statement.
“Only one of each kind, these suites provide luxury at its finest,” said the hotel’s Managing Director Bob van den Oord. “Both suites have personalities of their own, reflecting elements in which the hotel is located.”
The suites are part of a larger room refurbishment set to continue this year and include one more suite.
