The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Fla., has welcomed guests into its newly renovated lobby.
The lobby now has a more lounge-like feel, with a library, a café, the resort shop, and an expanded Promenade bar. The front desk area was repositioned as part of the project.
The library features a central fireplace and two large millwork pieces, while the café now offers a grab-and-go style menu. New seating and a fire pit have been added to the veranda.
The interior, designed by the Leo A Daly team, features a vibrant palette of blues, golds, warmer tones and other colors that reflect the local culture. The renovation preserved the Mediterranean Revival architecture while adding new elements, such as a custom Renee Dinauer wood sculpture and Chihuly pieces.
Guest rooms at the resort, which originally opened in 1925, were updated in 2011.
