Isadore Sharp built a global brand synonymous with a 24-karat philosophy of service. As the second Legend in HOTELS’ “People” issue, the founder of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts could be called the father of the modern luxury hotel.
Sharp sat down for an interview with HOTELS in his Palm Springs, California, home, and talked about how he set a new standard of luxury in his early hotels, instilling the Golden Rule as an operating principle among management — and replicating it successfully in dozens of new hotels — and his current role at the company.
