Treehouse Hotels will expand its portfolio with Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach, a new property in South Florida, through a partnership between Starwood Hotels and Keyah Real Estate Group. Scheduled to open in early 2029, the resort will be located in Miami Beach’s historic district.
The project is being developed by Keyah Real Estate Group and represents Treehouse’s first resort offering. The property will combine two 1940s-era buildings, the Art Deco Haddon Hall and Campton Apartments, with a newly built tower that will include a rooftop with ocean views. The design is led by Rottet Studio and incorporates elements of Art Deco, Streamline Moderne, Spanish Mediterranean Regionalism and Miami Modern architecture.
“Treehouse Hotels is about capturing that carefree joy you had as a kid, when every day felt like an adventure, you made friends easily, real or imagined, and anything was possible,” said Barry Sternlicht, chairman of Starwood Hotels. “Miami Beach has that same spirit of community, creativity and fun. Treehouse Hotel Miami Beach will be a place where guests can relax, laugh, and reconnect with that carefree spirit.”
The Treehouse brand launched in London’s Marylebone neighborhood in 2019. It later added Treehouse Hotel Manchester in the UK and Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley, its first location in the U.S.
The property will include large suites, many with ocean views. Interior design will focus on natural materials, handcrafted details and layered textures. A central courtyard will feature a pool and landscaped areas.
“We saw an opportunity to do something truly special,” said Raul Leal, CEO of Starwood Hotels. “By reimagining these historic buildings through a modern lens, the property creates an experience that respects Miami Beach’s architectural heritage while still feeling fresh, relaxed, and unmistakably Treehouse.”
The hotel will also include multiple dining and lounge venues, a rooftop pool, a spa and a wellness club. In addition, guests will have access to a nearby serviced beach club.
“We are honored to partner with Starwood and Treehouse on this flagship, hospitality-forward property that as locals we all feel brings a boutique, resort-like destination that’s currently missing in the Miami Beach market,” said Gavin Crescenzo, principal at Keyah Real Estate Group.
