Thompson Houston has announced the appointment of Olivia Johnson as general manager. With more than a decade of experience across California, New York and Texas, Johnson steps into the role following her tenure as hotel manager during the property’s opening.

Johnson’s career has grown alongside the Thompson brand, beginning with her involvement in the opening of The Beekman, one of the Thompson Hotels’ in New York. She later joined Hyatt in 2020 to support the opening of Thompson San Antonio as director of rooms. Before that, she served as director of housekeeping at Hotel Emma, a luxury hotel in San Antonio.
Located beside Buffalo Bayou Park, Thompson Houston encompasses 172 guest rooms, including 34 suites.
