The Sarasota Modern adds new GM

Oliver Hospitality has appointed Chris Delgado as general manager of The Sarasota Modern, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Sarasota, Fla. Delgado brings more than 15 years of experience across hotel management, openings, guest services and operations to the 89-room property located in Sarasota’s Rosemary District.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris Delgado into the fold at such an inflection point for Oliver Hospitality,” said Ethan Orley, managing partner of Oliver Hospitality. “With the recent additions of The Sarasota Modern and The Nashville Reserve, along with several development and management projects underway, Chris brings the holistic operational strength and forward-thinking leadership needed to help guide this next chapter of growth for the company.”

Delgado joins Oliver Hospitality following nearly two years at AvantStay, where he led end-to-end hotel openings in Nashville, including the launch of The Gilmore. He previously served on the opening team as general manager of the Cambria Hotel Nashville Midtown and began his career with a seven-year tenure at Omni Hotels & Resorts, where he held leadership roles, including assistant director of rooms and director of front office.

“I’m drawn to Oliver Hospitality’s core values of creativity, individuality, and strong local identity — this is how I approach hospitality,” said Delgado. “At The Sarasota Modern, I have the opportunity to build something distinctive while remaining hands-on, which I find most rewarding. Watching guests return, teams grow, and a property develop real personality is what keeps my work exciting.”
