The Ryder Cup gets underway later this month in New York. A new Hampton Inn opened just in time.

The Ryder Cup comes to Long Island, N.Y., later this month and one hotel opened up in the nick of time to welcome the streams of fans that will descend on the village of Farmingdale and Bethpage State Park Golf Course to watch the American team, led by captain Keegan Bradley and No. 1 player in the world Scottie Scheffler, take on the Europeans and their standout Rory McIlroy.

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Long Island Farmingdale, about a nine-minute drive from the famed Bethpage Black public golf course that has also hosted two U.S. Opens and one PGA Championship, is now open and even has rooms available over the three days of the event—Sept. 26 to Sept. 28—but rates start at $900 per night. A day after the Ryder Cup concludes, rates go down to a more digestible $200 per night.

The 101-room hotel is owned and was developed by Oxford Hospitality in partnership with Concord Hospitality, which will also manage the property.

“We’re proud to open the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton right here in Farmingdale—a vibrant, growing community at the heart of Long Island. From local businesses to visitors exploring the region, our location offers convenience, comfort, and the exceptional service guests expect from Hilton. We’re excited to be part of the Farmingdale neighborhood and look forward to welcoming travelers and locals alike,” said Jason Spiegel, the hotel’s GM.

The hotel features a range of on-property amenities, including a fitness center with a Peloton bike, an indoor pool and whirlpool, an outdoor patio, complimentary hot breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi, two outdoor fire pits, and a Pour-My-Beer self-pour station offering craft beer and wine on tap. There is no golf simulator, however.
