The Ritz-Carlton, Boston adds new GM

Adam Beer has been appointed as general manager of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston. A 25-year seasoned hotelier, Beer brings extensive global luxury hospitality experience to his new role.

Throughout his career, Beer has worked closely with numerous Marriott brands and has held leadership positions with Autograph Collection, W, Westin and Sheraton Hotels. Most recently, he served as VP of asset management for Twin Bridges Hospitality, an asset management company co-founded by members of the Marriott family. In this role, Beer was part of a team overseeing a $700M portfolio of seven franchised Marriott and Hilton hotels from 2021 through 2024. In 2025, he transitioned to lead the firm’s third-party asset management contracts, directing performance, capital planning, hotel development and operator accountability for hotel ownership groups. He also collaborated closely with hotels and property management teams through ongoing strategy and performance meetings to formulate and execute revenue and operational initiatives to maximize portfolio results.

“This is what excites me most about this incredible opportunity at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston,” says Beer. “Returning to the hotel level has always been a personal goal and I’m delighted to begin working with the dedicated Ladies and Gentlemen at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, who have made this hotel a leader in the luxury market segment for many years. It’s a pleasure to be working at a hotel that’s such a distinguished and award-winning property. I look forward to leading and mentoring our diverse and talented team through innovative strategy and hands-on leadership. And the timing couldn’t be more exciting as the hotel looks to commemorate its 25th anniversary in downtown Boston in 2026 with unique, legacy experiences.”

Before working for Twin Bridges Hospitality, Beer was opening general manager for Lido House in Newport Beach, Calif., Marriott’s first-managed Autograph Collection on the West Coast. His additional West Coast hotel roles included a three-year assignment as hotel manager for the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, director of operations for the W Hollywood Hotel, and various management positions at the historic Westin St. Francis in San Francisco.

The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, first opened its doors to guests in 1927 at the corner of Newbury and Arlington Streets. In 2001, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston moved across the Public Garden and Boston Common and opened in its present location on Avery Street in downtown.
