Marcus Hotels & Resorts has opened The Marc Hotel, a 175-room independent property in downtown Milwaukee, Wis. The hotel is directly connected to the Baird Center via a climate-controlled skywalk and is located near corporate offices, sports and entertainment venues, dining options and Marquette University.
“Driven by Marcus Hotels & Resorts longstanding commitment to excellence, The Marc Hotel’s prime location, well-appointed rooms, convenient workspaces, and adjacent restaurants and amenities will offer convention and other guests the comfort and convenience they crave,” said Michael Evans, president of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “This is one of the busiest and most vibrant areas of the city, and we are pleased to offer our guests yet another compelling option to make the most out of their stay in Milwaukee.”

The property’s rooms and suites feature high-thread-count linens, ample lighting, a large workstation, complimentary Wi-Fi, a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker. Bathrooms have marble countertops and mirrors with built-in lighting. The hotel also has a covered parking garage and more than 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Marc Hotel occupies the former west wing of the Hilton Milwaukee and provides access to its dining experiences. Its name references the history of Marcus Corporation, which acquired the former Schroeder Hotel in 1972 and renamed it the Marc Plaza Hotel. Though the property was later rebranded under Hilton in 1995, the Marc name returns with the reopening of the west wing as The Marc Hotel.
