The 297-room SLS Beverly Hills in California, opened in 2008 by Sam Nazarian’s SBE, has been sold for US$195 million to Torrance, California-based Sunrider International, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The property will continue to be operated by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide as an SLS hotel.
Nazarian announced about a year ago that the SLS Beverly Hills was for sale as part of SBE’s strategy to reduce its real estate holdings.
Sunrider also recently bought London’s St. Ermin’s Hotel, a company spokesman told the Los Angeles Times, and the company has a hotel chain called Sunworld Dynasty that owns and operates three hotels in Beijing and Taipei.
