Sheraton Boston has completed a $100 million renovation of guestrooms, public spaces, dining venues and meeting areas as it celebrates its 60th anniversary.
The redesign takes inspiration from the communal spirit of Boston’s taverns. The new lobby features warm woods, rich textures and seating options that range from signature Community Tables to soundproof alcoves known as The Booths. Adjacent to the lobby, The Studios provide flexible rooms for meetings, creative sessions or family gatherings, including a dedicated gaming lounge for children.
“For more than 60 years, Sheraton Boston has been a leader in the community and one of the skyline’s most recognized landmarks,” said Dan Kakabeeke, general manager of Sheraton Boston. “Over the decades, the hotel has evolved into a space for connection – a warm, inviting location where people naturally come together for meetings & events, celebrations, and leisure time. This renovation honors our legacy while reimagining every area to help guests feel comfortable and fully present so they can effortlessly enjoy all that Boston has to offer.”
Guestrooms and suites now feature a residential-inspired design with views of the Boston skyline or the Charles River. Each room includes the Sheraton Signature Bed, ambient lighting, sit-stand desks in select rooms and access to high-speed Wi-Fi. Guests also have complimentary use of a 24-hour fitness studio with updated cardio and strength equipment.
During September, qualifying Marriott Bonvoy members will gain entry to The Sheraton Club, a new lounge space with breakfast service, evening hors d’oeuvres and staff support for business and concierge needs.
The renovation extends to Boston’s largest hotel lap pool, now refreshed with a retractable roof, private cabanas and an outdoor sundeck. A poolside menu allows food and beverage service directly to lounge chairs.
The hotel now joins more than 70 Sheraton properties worldwide that have been reimagined as part of the brand’s global transformation. The renovation aims to reinforce the vision of Sheraton as a place of connection and belonging for travelers and local communities.
