NEW DELHI Royal Orchid Hotels plans to invest US$44 million over the next eight months to build seven new hotels in India.
The New Delhi-based company, which operates 15 properties under the Royal Orchid brand across India, is building properties in Jaipur, Hyderabad, Baroda, Mumbai and Shimoga. It is also setting up a hotel in Tanzania, set to open next year. Royal Orchid has already invested US$66 million in expansion over the past two years.
The planned expansion will bring the company’s total capacity of 1,300 guestrooms to about 2,100 guestrooms, The Economic Times reports.
