Remington Hospitality has furthered its presence and expanded into the Caribbean market. The hotel management company has assumed management of Croc’s Resort & Casino in Costa Rica, marking its first property in the region.
The addition of Croc’s Resort & Casino helps Remington begin its expansion strategy in the new market.
“We are thrilled to announce Remington Hospitality’s expansion into the Caribbean, a move we have long been working towards,” said Sloan Dean, Remington’s CEO. “The combination of the Caribbean’s high year-round tourism demand and an increased interest in wellness travel makes this advancement a no-brainer. We’re looking forward to bringing our unmatched guest service beyond the U.S. borders, and I am confident that this expansion will usher in an exciting new chapter of success.”

Situated along the beaches of Jaco, the resort features 166 rooms and suites with dedicated living areas and balconies offering ocean and mountain views. Services available at the property include four restaurants, an onsite casino, a nightclub, a pool and more than 7,000 square feet of event area. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy activities such as surfing, ziplining, paddleboarding and horseback riding.
Further widening its footprint in the new market, Remington has also signed on to manage Autograph Sarchi in Costa Rica, a luxury ecotourism project in Monte Verde, Costa Rica and two resorts in Larimar City & Resort (Royal Sonesta Hotel and The James) in the Dominican Republic.

In September, Sonesta International Hotels Corp. announced that it had partnered with CLEHRP for the two high-end lifestyle hotels in Larimar City & Resort, the mixed-use development, which will also be Sonesta’s debut in the Dominican Republic. The hotels and residences are expected to open in late 2025 to early 2026. Larimar City & Resort will include multiple entertainment venues, such as a mall, dining venues, a fitness center, a country club with an 18-course golf course, a spa, a sports facility and a children’s activity center.
“In recent months, Remington has prioritized expanding our presence in other key hospitality verticals,” says Keith Oltchick, chief development officer at Remington Hospitality. “Our foray into the Caribbean underscores this dedication and positions the properties themselves as tangible symbols of our forward trajectory.”
Founded in 1968, Remington currently manages 135 hotels under 33 brands (including 16 independent and boutique hotels) across 27 states and Washington, D.C.
