Sonesta International Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Red Lion Inn & Suites Urbana, Ill. The midscale property opened on January 7, 2026 and is located at 1907 North Cunningham Avenue
The hotel has 127 guestrooms and is positioned near several local institutions and attractions. Urbana is home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and the Spurlock Museum and Urbana’s Market at the Square. The location places the property within reach of campus activity as well as cultural and community destinations.
