Radisson Hotel Group has posted growth in the first half of 2023, leading particularly in the Asia Pacific and EMEA markets with milestone openings and signings. So far, the company has had more than 100 hotel openings and signings.
The group focused on geographical expansions and launched a new premium lifestyle brand, art’otel, in H1 2023.
Across the EMEA, the company added over 8,000 keys through signings and openings under several brands across key destinations, like Germany, Greece, Italy, France, Nigeria, the U.K., Switzerland and Saudi Arabia.
Notable openings and signings include the opening of the Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan, the signing of Radisson Blu Hotel, Rome EUR and Radisson Blu Hotel, Abuja, CBD, along with the signing of Radisson RED Edinburgh Airport, the opening of a Radisson extended-stay hotel in Zurich, opening of a new Radisson hotel in Ferrara and the signings of Radisson Residences Limassol in Cyprus and Radisson Hotel Mersin in Turkey (which is expected to open in Q1 2024).
Across the Asia Pacific region, Radisson added more than 60 hotels to its portfolio, totaling more than 8,000 keys across Vietnam, India, Thailand, China and the Philippines.
The company has more than doubled its portfolio in Thailand with the signing of seven new hotels totaling more than 1,300 rooms over the past 12 months. Some of the key additions so far include Radisson Hotel Ploenchit Bangkok (which will be the group’s flagship Radisson hotel in the country when it opens in 2024), a new Radisson RED hotel in Phuket, Radisson Resort & Spa in Hua Hin, Radisson Resort & Suites Phuket and the introduction of the Park Inn by Radisson brand in the country with a signing in Bangkok.
