R Collection grows portfolio with two mountain retreats

R Collection Hotels, the luxury Italian hotel company, has expanded into two mountain destinations in Italy. The group, owned by the Rocchi family for three generations, has added two luxury boutique retreats in La Thuile and Courmayeur.

Both the hotels — Montana Lodge & Spa and Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc — are located along the northern border between France and Switzerland.

R Collection’s hotels are known for their strategic locations. While the two newly added properties are located in two separate locales, both the hotels offer views of Mont Blanc.

With the addition of these retreats, R Collection’s portfolio has grown to 10 properties — three on Lake Como (and another slated to open in 2025), three in Milan and one on the Ligurian Riviera in the Portofino Coast.

“The unveiling of these two hotel additions to the R Collection portfolio is a reflection of our unwavering dedication to embracing the excellence and warm hospitality synonymous with Italian tradition. Choosing destinations cherished by Italians, yet exuding international allure, epitomizes our commitment to a global standard of service,” said Ludovica Rocchi, brand director of R Collection Hotels. “We eagerly await our inaugural winter season with these enchanting mountain properties.”
