Honolulu and Los Angeles-based hospitality management company Springboard Hospitality hired three new executives at Kauai Beach Resort & Spa.
Indy Dodanwala is the new general manager, charged with overseeing sales and marketing, food and beverage, budgeting and finances, human resources, and more. Previously, Dodanwala held a management position with InterContinental Hotels Group in San Francisco.
Dan Mizrahi is the new food & beverage director. Most recently, Mizrahi served as director of food & beverage for the Four Seasons Resort Lana’i, Lanai City, Hawaii. At Kauai Beach Resort & Spa, Mizrahi is responsible for guiding all food and beverage planning and delivering dining experiences for guests.
Lucas Sautter is the new executive chef. He was previously at the Sheraton Coconut Beach, Kapa’a, Hawaii. In his new role, Chef Sautter will helm the resort’s culinary program, which includes the Naupaka Terrace Restaurant, Driftwood Bar, and Shutters Lounge, producing cuisine focused on local ingredients.

Bob Arndt has been appointed general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra, Florida. He was previously general manager of the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place in Melbourne, Florida.
Starhotels, London, England, has appointed Eleonora Bortolato as hotel manager of The Pelham London – Starhotels Collezione. Bortolato was previously at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, where she was director of residences.
The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, appointed Stacey King Brogan to the general manager role. She previously general manager at The Lodge at Jackson Hole.
Sonesta International Hotels Corp. has appointed a new Area General Manager, Paul Cardona, and Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Fantasy Greene, at Sonesta’s Chicagoland hotels, including the newly renovated and reimagined Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. Cardona was most recently general manager at Thompson Chicago. Greene was previously at White Lodging, Merrilleville, Indiana, and TMI Hospitality, Fargo, North Dakota, managing sales and marketing operations.
The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley, Colorado, appointed Alejandro Cerda as the new director of food & beverage. Cerda was previously general manager of food & beverage for both Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Kimpton Muse Hotel in New York City.
Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives, appointed Jad Frem as its new commercial director. He was previously at Bangkok, Thailand-based Six Senses, where he was regional director of sales & marketing overseeing the brand’s Indian Ocean properties.
The Hollywood Roosevelt, Los Angeles, California, appointed four new team members – Nina Dela Fuente as director of sales and marketing; Ed Anonas as director of finance; Meda Serban as director of revenue management; and Jesse O’Connell as the general manager of The Spare Room (the hotel’s gaming parlor and cocktail lounge). Dela Fuente was previously director of entertainment group sales at the hotel. Serban was most recently revenue manager for The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills. Anonas was previously president of HFTP in Los Angeles. O’Connell previously worked at Los Angeles mixology bar Apotheke.
Kimberly Garner has been appointed the new director of culture and community impact for El Capitan, a JdV by Hyatt hotel, Mainzer and The Tioga, Merced, California. She was most recently executive director of the arts with the University of California, Merced.
Meliá Phuket Mai Khao, Thailand, has appointed Magdalena Martorell as general manager. She joins from Meliá Shanghai Parkside in China and SOL by Meliá Phu Quoc in Vietnam.
Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas, California, appointed Michael Savastano to resort manager. He was previously director of operations at the resort.
Kennebunkport Resort Collection, Kennebunkport, Maine, appointed two new executives. Kristie Sibley has been promoted to senior director of food & beverage. She was previously restaurant manager at company’s Boathouse Waterfront Restaurant. Joe Schafer has been promoted to culinary director, in addition to his current role as executive chef of KRC’s Hidden Pond and The Tides Beach Club.
