People on the move: Remington Hospitality, Main Street Hospitality, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, The Ritz-Carlton Maui

Remington Hospitality, a hotel management company that manages 128 hotels across more than 20 brands, has appointed Joseph Klam as chief financial officer. Klam, who brings almost 40 years of industry experience, will oversee the financial planning, accounting and global financial operations of the company. 

“We are thrilled to have such an accomplished and seasoned financial professional join our team,” said Remington Hospitality chief executive officer Sloan Dean. “Having previously worked with Joseph at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, he brings extensive expertise and a proven track record to guide and optimize the financial strategy of Remington. With his leadership, we will continue to strengthen our financial objectives while delivering exceptional experiences to our valued guests.” 

Klam joins Remington Hospitality from Highgate, where he served as chief accounting officer and oversaw domestic and international financial operations for over 550 hotels. Klam also held senior leadership roles in finance for companies such as Hersha Hospitality Management, Interstate Hotels and Resorts and Millennium Hotels and Resorts.  

Main Street Hospitality has announced the following key appointments to its leadership team: 

  • Greta Kipp as the new chief operating officer. Kipp joined the group upon its founding and has played an integral role in the company’s evolution, holding leadership roles in operations, revenue management, sales, marketing, finance and IT.  
  • Brian Smith as regional director of operations, reporting directly to Kipp. Smith has held previous management positions with Kimpton Nine Zero Boston, Hilton and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. He will manage the overall operations of a dedicated group of Main Street Hospitality hotels and restaurants. 
  • Suzi Darre as vice president of human resources, who brings extensive experience in human resources leadership. Darre was director of talent across 11 states and notable hospitality names, including The Carlyle, a Rosewood hotel; The Surrey, a Relais & Chateaux hotel; and the Auberge Resorts Collection.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas, the luxury resort set to open in December 2023 on the Las Vegas Strip, has also announced several leadership appointments: 

  • Mark Tricano has been named president of the resort, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the gaming, hospitality, and finance sectors, including Hong Kong-based Galaxy Entertainment Group, Station Casinos and JACK Entertainment. In Las Vegas, Tricano led Station Casinos’ Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa as vice president and general manager. Additionally, he has worked at Caesars Entertainment in executive leadership and financial positions, including vice president, assistant general manager and director of finance in multiple jurisdictions domestically. 
  • Michelle Reda, a 25-year veteran of luxury hospitality and casino marketing for Las Vegas resorts, has been named chief casino marketing officer. Reda has 13 years of serving in multiple roles at Wynn Resorts, including vice president of casino marketing. Before joining Wynn Resorts, she spent seven years with Caesars Entertainment as director of national casino marketing and was also corporate senior vice president of casino marketing for Las Vegas-based Station Casinos. 
  • Kimberly Virtuoso, who joined Fontainebleau Las Vegas in 2022 as vice president of people, has been promoted to senior vice president of people. Virtuoso is a certified HR leader who previously served as executive director of corporate human resources for MGM Resorts International. 

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, has appointed Melissa Lee as hotel manager, where she will oversee all hotel operations. She brings over 20 years of experience in the luxury hospitality and culinary industry. 

Before joining The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, Lee was director of hotel operations at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. She also held executive positions at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City; The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; and The Ritz Carlton, Orlando, Grande Lakes.
