ONEFINESTAY EXPANDS C-SUITE TEAM

onefinestay, the luxury private rental brand of Accor, has appointed five new C-Suite executives: Dorothée Guiol as deputy CEO; François Mare as chief marketing and digital officer; Kelly Wheeler as chief financial officer; Isabelle Garcin as chief legal and compliance officer; and Sophie Howse as chief sales officer, all under the leadership of the brand’s existing CEO, Fabrice Carré.

Joining onefinestay in early 2022, Dorothée Guiol brings nearly two decades of industry experience, most recently serving as director of group strategic projects for Accor. Previously, Guiol spent seven years with The Boston Consulting Group in Paris, starting in 2008 as a consultant and ending in 2015 as a project leader.

François Mare arrived at onefinestay in early 2023 from Accor, where he spent much of the past decade as vice president of strategy, integration of acquisitions and new business growth, including work on brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, Ennismore and the Orient Express.

Kelly Wheeler joined onefinestay as finance director in 2021. She brings extensive experience to her executive role, including implementation of enterprise resource planning, software conversions, financial modeling and more for companies in industries from commercial construction and international manufacturing to B2B startups and technology.

Isabelle Garcin joined onefinestay from Accor, where, as general counsel – corporate venture activities & corporate social responsibility, she oversaw legal matters within the company’s new businesses and handled investments in startup companies.

Having worked in the luxury hospitality space for over 14 years, Sophie Howse began her onefinestay career in 2016 as global sales account manager.

HIGHGATE’S NEW HEAD OF DESIGN

Highgate has appointed Tony Machado as head of design. In this new role, Machado will join LUCID, Highgate’s in-house Design & Construction Studio, to oversee all aspects of design innovation and execution for the company’s portfolio as well as Viceroy Hotels & Resorts.

Before joining Highgate, Machado served as senior vice president and head of design at Starwood Capital Group/SH Hotels & Resorts. Throughout his tenure with Starwood, he oversaw all design aspects for the growth of the 1 Hotels, Baccarat and Treehouse brands. Before joining SH Hotels & Resorts, Machado served as vice president, global head of design & construction at Morgans Hotel Group (now Accor), contributing to the expansion of the Delano and Mondrian brands.

ARLO HOTELS’ LEADERSHIP PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS

Arlo Hotels has announced promotions across each of its four NYC properties:

  • Maggie Stokes as corporate director of operations. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Stokes has held leadership positions with large international brands such as InterContinental Hotels Group and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, as well as lifestyle brands with JRK Property Holdings, Hersha Hospitality, King & Grove Hotels and Commune Hotels + Resorts.
  • Mark Butler as general manager of Arlo Midtown, replacing Strokes. Butler was formerly the general manager of Arlo NoMad.
  • Joe Kavanagh as general manager of Arlo NoMad. Kavanagh arrives at Arlo Hotels from Paramount Hotel Times Square, where he served as general manager.
  • Richard Tucker, formerly the hotel manager of Arlo Midtown, as the general manager of Arlo SoHo.
  • William Burpitt as general manager of Arlo Williamsburg, the brand’s latest property to join the portfolio.

MORE MOVES

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced the name of its first hotel in San Antonio, Kimpton Santo. The hotel is set to open in late 2024, with Lynn Snyder appointed as the general manager and Jeremy Lander as the director of sales and marketing.

Snyder has worked with White Lodging, the hotel’s owner and operator, for 15 years. She has been a member of the opening leadership team for seven White Lodging hotels across the U.S. and most recently served as the general manager at the Aloft & Element Austin Downtown.

Lander brings more than 25 years in hospitality sales to his new role. Before his role at Kimpton Santo, Lander worked with Omni Hotels & Resorts in properties across San Antonio and Austin.

The Logan, Philadelphia’s Hotel, has promoted Jessica Bauer to general manager. Bauer has spent almost 17 years at the property, holding several roles before and following its transition from Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia to The Logan Hotel in 2015. Beginning as a group sales manager, Bauer moved up the ranks as group and corporate sales manager, director of sales and director of sales and marketing.
