Dimension Hospitality, a hotel management and development company, has appointed Joe Viglietta as chief operating officer. Viglietta will be responsible for the company’s portfolio of nearly 80 all-suite, full and select-service hotels.
Viglietta had a 20-year tenure with Vista Host, where he oversaw the sales and hotel operations for more than 40 hotels. Most recently, he served at Hotel Equities as senior vice president of operations.

Following Viglietta’s departure from Hotel Equities, Dan Block, vice president of operations, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations. Block joined Hotel Equities in March 2022 through the company’s partnership with Greenwood Hospitality.

With over 39 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Block’s background includes pre-opening projects, performance turnarounds, associate development and owner relations. His culinary education at The Culinary Institute of America in New York is one of his notable accomplishments.

Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, has appointed Martin Schnider as its new general manager. With over 25 years of experience with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group encompassing six Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Schnider brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Before arriving at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, Schnider served as the general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Doha.
Becky Casey has been appointed vice president of sales for North America at The Londoner, a boutique hotel located on Leicester Square in London’s theatre district and Edwardian Hotels London, which operates 4 and 5-star hotels in London and Manchester.
Casey joins The Londoner and Edwardian Hotels London from American Express Global Business Travel, where she managed a global portfolio of multi-national accounts. Her previous roles include vice president of sales at Denihan Hospitality Group in New York and senior sales director at Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Conrad Los Angeles has appointed Deepak Mehra as its new general manager. Mehra brings over 25 years of luxury hospitality industry experience to the table in his new role.
Before joining the team at Conrad Los Angeles, Mehra held the position of area general manager at Viceroy Hotels & Resorts. He also served as general manager for Hilton Woodland Hills in Los Angeles and Kimpton Hotels, where he assisted with the opening and transition of the luxury boutique-lifestyle hotel brand of IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Francisco. Throughout his career, Mehra also served as director of operations for Raffles L’Ermitage in Beverly Hills and had the opportunity to work for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts around the world, including Hyatt Regency.
