ERIC DANZIGER RETIRES FROM BRAINTREE GROUP
Eric Danziger, CEO of Braintree Group and Resolute Road Hospitality, has officially announced his retirement after a five-decade-long career.
Danziger began his career in the hospitality industry at 17 when he started as a bellman at The Fairmont San Francisco. Over the years, he has held leadership positions at some of the industry’s leading hotel companies, including being CEO of Trump Hotel Group, president and CEO of Starwood Hotels, president and COO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide and president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group.
While Danziger will be stepping down from his role as CEO, he will remain active on the Board of Directors.
In a statement regarding his retirement, Danziger expressed gratitude to the industry for the support he received throughout his career and confidence in the future of Braintree. “It has been an incredible journey, and I am proud of our accomplishments together. I look forward to continuing my involvement on the Board and witnessing the company’s continued success.”
HILTON’S NEW VP OF APAC LUXURY BRANDS
Hilton has appointed Candice D’Cruz as vice president of Luxury Brands for Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, D’Cruz will be responsible for leading Hilton’s luxury brands, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts across Asia Pacific.
With over two decades of hospitality experience, Candice joins Hilton from Marriott International, where she most recently served as vice president of luxury brand management and marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her experience also includes roles in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Emaar, overseeing various aspects of brand, marketing and communications in diverse markets.

W San Francisco has appointed Jeff Ossenkop as general manager. Most recently, Ossenkop served as general manager at Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa and initially joined the Canopy brand during the launch of the Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown.
With 22 years of hospitality experience, Ossenkop’s background includes a 12-year tenure with Starwood Hotels & Resorts under W Hotels and serving on various boards, including the board of Moody Gardens Galveston, board of directors for Austin Hotel & Lodging and Galveston Hotel & Lodging and as an appointed official for The Park Board of Trustees for Galveston, Texas.
Ossenkop was also appointed to the board of directors of The Hotel City Council of San Francisco (HCSF) – a non-profit trade association founded in 1987 designed to advocate for the local hospitality community.
Resolute Road Hospitality has added Noall T. Silvester, MMH, CHA, to its leadership team as regional vice president of operations. Silvester will oversee hotels in Utah, Texas, Arizona and Nevada within Resolute Road’s portfolio.
In his most recent position as regional vice president of operations at Aimbridge Hospitality, he drove the performance of a diverse portfolio comprising 20 major-brand hotels and was responsible for over 1,650 guest rooms.
Hospitality management company 7 Hospitality has appointed Andrew Martin as director of strategy & management development. Martin previously established and headed the Scottish Centre of Tourism at Robert Gordon University. As a key member of the senior team at the Aberdeen Business School, he was responsible for staff development.
Thompson Austin and tommie Austin have appointed Marko Malicanin as hotel manager. Malicanin was most recently the director of food & beverage operations at Carmel Valley Ranch in California, where he oversaw the 500-acre property’s $18 million culinary operation. With a 13-year career at Hyatt, he has held various roles across its portfolio, including within Grand Hyatt Atlanta, Grand Hyatt Dubai and Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa.
