Hyatt Hotels Corp. celebrates the 45th anniversary of its Park Hyatt brand in 2025, 45 years after the debut of Park Hyatt Chicago in 1980. In recognition, Hyatt is launching the first global Park Hyatt marketing campaign in more than five years, “Luxury is Personal,” which demonstrates the brand’s focus on intuitive service and intentional enrichment.

Park Hyatt’s recent and upcoming openings span Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to refined design, gracious service and culinary excellence that resonates with each destination. In Europe, Park Hyatt Marrakech opened in July 2024 with 130 residentially inspired guestrooms and suites, blending modern design with Arab-Berber heritage. Park Hyatt London River Thames debuted in October 2024 with 203 rooms in Nine Elms, offering proximity to Battersea Power Station. Park Hyatt Johannesburg opened in July 2025 with 31 guestrooms and suites in the Rosebank district, while Park Hyatt Taormina is expected in 2027 with suites overlooking the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna.
In Asia Pacific, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur opened in August 2025 with 252 guestrooms and suites in Merdeka 118. Park Hyatt Tokyo is set to resume operations in December 2025 following property-wide refinements, including new guestrooms, restored public spaces, event venues and enhanced dining, featuring Girandole by Alain Ducasse. Park Hyatt Phu Quoc is expected in the second quarter of 2026, combining traditional Vietnamese architecture with natural surroundings.
In the Americas, Park Hyatt Los Cabos at Cabo del Sol is anticipated to open in late 2025 with 163 guestrooms and a 59,000-square-foot wellness complex. Park Hyatt Cancun, Mexico City and Vancouver are expected to open in 2026, offering beachfront access, luxury accommodations and world-class wellness and dining experiences.
Since 2017, Hyatt’s luxury portfolio has grown 146 percent, offering guests a curated collection of brands including Park Hyatt, Alila and The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. These properties emphasize cultural immersion, residential modern elegance, transformational wellbeing and distinctive one-of-a-kind experiences, reflecting sustained demand from both guests and owners.
