Paris Marriott Champs-Élysées Hotel announces new GM

Marriott International has appointed Henri Michel as general manager of the Paris Marriott Champs-Élysées Hotel. The move comes at a significant moment for the property, which has just completed its redesign led by London design studio Muza Lab.

“Henri brings the operational discipline, commercial strength, and people-first leadership required to elevate this flagship following its extraordinary renovation,” said Robert Juntke, regional VP, Western Europe, premium & select, Marriott International. “His vision and passion for hospitality will guide the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysees Hotel into an exciting new era.”

Michel began his hospitality career with a three-year hotel apprenticeship before holding key operational roles in London across food & beverage and Front Office. He joined Marriott in 2000 and has since built a 25-year career spanning sales, marketing, event management and general management in Germany and France. He most recently served as general manager of the Renaissance Paris Nobel Tour Eiffel Hotel and previously led the opening of the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Gare de Lyon.

“It is a privilege to join the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysees at such a transformational moment,” said Michel. “This renewal pays tribute to the soul of Paris. Together with our talented teams, we will craft stays that are as inspiring as they are impeccably delivered.”
