DETROIT The Omni Detroit Hotel at River Place will close next month, and the 108-key property is being shopped to potential buyers.
Irving, Texas-based Omni Hotels & Resorts plans to cease operations at the 20-year-old hotel on October 12. Omni is working “aggressively” to help the hotel’s remaining employees find work in the area.
Omni is also working to sell the hotel, which was originally known as River Place Inn. Sources tell Crain’s Detroit Business that the asking price is US$6 million, or US$55,555 per key.
