Brexit and hospitality: The British Hospitality Association published a report stating that without future EU migration, the hospitality sector faces a recruitment crisis, with upwards of 60,000 workers per year needed in addition to the ongoing recruitment of 200,000 workers required to replace churn and to power growth. The KPMG report says that hospitality and tourism will be affected by restrictions to EU migration more than any other sector.

Nashville Tapestry: Indiana-based developer Sun Development & Management Corp. paid $4 million for a site which will ultimately become a mixed-use project with a 175-room upscale boutique hotel, the first hotel in Nashville belonging to the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

 


Trump: A group comprising 22 nonprofit organizations have written the U.S. inspector general of the General Services Administration — the agency that manages the lease for the Trump International hotel — asking she review the recent decision by the agency to allow the Trump Organization to keep the lease while U.S. President Donald Trump remains in office.
